About Lucas

Lucas Stuurop specializes in corporate employment law. His practice is therefore closely intertwined with Lexence’s M&A transaction practice, in which he advises on all employment law aspects of mergers and acquisitions. In addition, Lucas runs an independent employment law practice that operates at the interface with corporate law, where he acts for both Dutch and international companies and corporates. Lucas litigates and advises in areas such as individual and collective dismissal law, competition, transfer of undertaking, reorganisations, employee participation and the legal position of statutory directors.

He regularly gives law courses at the IMC Weekendschool. Lucas is also a member of the International Association of Young Lawyers (AIJA).

Lucas has been working with Lexence since 2012. He studied law at Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam where he received his master’s degree (cum laude). Lucas was admitted to the Dutch Bar in 2012.
