About Arief

Arief van Rhee specialises in (commercial) real estate law. He is one of  the top ten most influential real estate notaries and focuses in particular on real estate development projects, commercial real estate transactions and real estate financing. His clients include leading national and international property investors, project developers, financial institutions and municipalities.

Until May 2022 Arief was chair of the association of civil law notaries in Amsterdam. He previously lectured at the University of Utrecht and the Amsterdam School of real estate. Currently he teaches “Civil law in practise” at the Erasmus University in Rotterdam.

Arief has been with Lexence since 2023. He received a master’s degree in notarial law and a degree in civil law from the VU in Amsterdam and also studied at the Sorbonne Pantheon Paris I. Since 2011 Arief is a civil law notary in Amsterdam.
