Gaining control over cyber risks: Reny Stark on opportunities, risks and responsibility at VNO-NCW West

Cyber incidents are now a reality for virtually every business. Yet many organisations still feel underprepared for digital risks, even though resilience has become a prerequisite for continuity, trust and growth. VNO-NCW West is therefore strongly committed to supporting entrepreneurs in this area—practically, accessibly and with a clear focus on opportunity.

To accelerate this movement, the Advisory Board on Digital Resilience has been established. This board brings together experts from various disciplines to provide entrepreneurs with practical guidance. The board is led by Dave Maasland (CEO of cybersecurity firm ESET Netherlands) and Reny Stark, Partner Technology & Data at Lexence. Drawing on their combined technical and legal expertise, they share a common mission: to make digital resilience understandable, achievable and positive.

In this interview, Reny and Dave explain why the board was established, what entrepreneurs can expect in practice, and why a positive approach is essential to truly drive organisational change.
