Lexence starts 2026 with Hugo Goedegebure as new counsel
Lexence begins the new year with the appointment of Hugo Goedegebure as counsel. With this move, Lexence is strengthening its position in construction law.
Hugo Goedegebure’s expertise lies in the field of real estate development, with a specific focus on construction disputes. He also advises (and litigates) on property law issues in the real estate practice, such as ground lease, easements and flat rights.
“I have been practising construction law since 2013 and it has always been my ambition to further develop my expertise in that area and put it into practice. The move to counsel gives me the opportunity to do just that and thus serve our clients even better in property development and the prevention and resolution of construction disputes. Combining that expertise with a practical approach, clear advice and easily manageable contracts gives me energy to make a difference together with our team.”
Hugo was sworn in as a lawyer in 2014 and has worked at Lexence since 2017. He studied law at Leiden University and the Universität Wien. In 2020, he completed the Grotius postgraduate specialisation course ‘Real Estate’ and in 2025 he attended a procurement law course at the Free University.
