About Hugo

Hugo Goedegebure specialises in real estate development and construction disputes. He advises and represents a wide range of clients, including project developers, investors and contractors. He also advises clients on real estate transactions and public procurement matters.

Since 2013, Hugo has been the author of the weekly Construction Law Updates column for the Institute for Construction Law (Instituut voor Bouwrecht). He regularly lectures and publishes on construction law and is a contributing author to Kluwer’s widely consulted Groene Serie commentary.

Hugo was admitted to the Bar in 2014 and has been with Lexence since 2017. He studied Law at Leiden University and the University of Vienna. In 2020, Hugo completed the Grotius post-academic specialisation programme in Real Estate. In 2026, he completed the post-academic programme Public Procurement Law for Legal Professionals at Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam.

Hugo is a member of the Dutch Association of Construction Lawyers (Vereniging voor Bouwrecht-Advocaten, VBR-A) and the Association of Young Real Estate Lawyers (Vereniging van Jonge Onroerend Goed Juristen, VJOJ). He also serves as a member of the Educational Advisory Board of the Institute for Construction Law.
