On 1 January, Merle van den Berg joined Lexence in the role of counsel.
On 1 January 2026, Merle van den Berg joined Lexence in the role of counsel. With this move, Lexence is strengthening its position in employment law.
Merle mainly advises (larger) companies and institutions on a wide range of employment law issues, such as reorganisations, transfer of undertaking, sickness and complex individual dismissal cases. She also specialises in flexible employment relationships and employee participation.
Merle van den Berg on the move:

Merle joined Lexence in January 2026 and has over 11 years of experience as an employment lawyer.
Merle studied law in Amsterdam and was sworn in as a lawyer in 2014. She also regularly publishes articles in Dutch legal journals.
