Bastiaan van Schaik

Bastiaan van Schaik specialises in financing transactions and advises on financial laws and regulations. Bastiaan has a special interest in blockchain and digital markets. He focuses on acquisition and real estate financing transactions and advises both Dutch and international companies and lenders on (inter)national bilateral and syndicated loans and club deals.

Bastiaan joined Lexence since 2022. Prior to that, he gained work experience at premier law firm and at a boutique financial law firm. Bastiaan published on blockchain-related regulation. He studied law at Leiden University (Bachelor of law) and the University of British Columbia in Canada. In 2022 he obtained a master’s degree in Law & Finance (cum laude) from the University of Amsterdam. Bastiaan was admitted to the Dutch Bar in 2022.
