ARTIS, the world-famous Amsterdam zoo, is an iconic institution that has inspired, amazed and educated visitors about nature — and about themselves — for generations. Lexence has supported this remarkable initiative for many years.
“We are proud of our Amsterdam roots and are pleased to support this important institution in the city.” Through the adoption of the large kudus, Lexence underlines its connection with ARTIS and contributes to the preservation of the zoo, so that future generations can find the same inspiration here.
From October, Lexence will celebrate Amsterdam’s 750th anniversary for a year, organising, among other things, an exclusive client event at ARTIS.

ARTIS has existed for 185 years and is now one of the five oldest zoos in the world. For 185 years the zoo has evolved, firmly rooted in the collective memory. ARTIS’s primary aim is to fill its visitors with wonder about nature in the broadest sense. In doing so, visitors gain insight into — and learn about — the relationship between humans and nature. We are not above it, but a part of it.
At ARTIS, you realise that caring well for the living world is the same as caring well for yourself, for each other and for all future generations. ARTIS itself sets a good example and has the goal of becoming climate positive by 2030.
Support for ARTIS is invaluable for animal care, the preservation of the historic zoo, nature and environmental education, international breeding and reintroduction programmes, and nature conservation.
