Over Michael Klijnstra

Michael Klijnstra is gespecialiseerd in het milieurecht en ruimtelijk bestuursrecht. Hij staat in dat kader zowel marktpartijen als overheden bij op het gebied van gebiedsontwikkelingen, infrastructurele projecten en (het hergebruik van) stortplaatsen. Daarnaast behandelt hij complexe zaken met betrekking tot bodemverontreinigingen, milieuvergunningen, afvalbeheer en (milieu-)aansprakelijkheid.

Sinds 2008 is Michael verbonden aan Lexence. Eerder werkte hij onder meer bij het Centrum voor Milieurecht van de Universiteit van Amsterdam. Michael studeerde Nederlands recht aan de Rijksuniversiteit Groningen en promoveerde in 1998 met het proefschrift getiteld ‘Openbaarheid in het milieurecht’. Michael werd in 1997 beëdigd als advocaat.
