About Ferry

Ferry van Schoonhoven is one of the founders of Lexence. He advises and litigates in matters regarding leasing, redevelopments, renovations, and sell-and-lease-back constructions. His clients are Dutch and international companies.

Ferry is a member of the Vereniging Huurecht Advocaten (Association of Tenancy Law Lawyers) and co-author of the Praktijkboek Huur en Verhuur, the publication Tenancy Law (Boom Basics), and the Real Estate Handbook. He teaches at the Academie Voor de Rechtswetenschappen (Academy for Legal Sciences). Additionally, Ferry is the chairman of the World Child Cancer Netherlands foundation, chairman of the Stichting Japan Desk Ziekenhuis Amstelland, a board member of the Stichting Japan Festival, and a member of the Dutch trade delegation to Japan.

Ferry has been with Lexence since 1992. Before that he worked at a law firm in Washington D.C. He studied law and International law at VU Amsterdam and received a master’s degree in Comparative Law (M.C.L.) from the University of Illinois, U.S.A. Ferry was admitted to the Dutch Bar in 1985.
