Lexence appoints Tomas Steenmetser as director

Mr. Tomas Steenmetser has been appointed a member of Lexence’s executive committee for a three-year term, commencing on July 1st. Steenmetser succeeds Mr. Michiel van Schooten who is resigning after his term expires. In addition to his work as director, Steenmetser will continue to conduct his practice.


Steenmetser is specialized in commercial-tenancy law, purchases and general contract law relating to real estate. One of his cases includes representing a large group of lessors in the V&D dossier, for instance. Steenmetser has a number of publications to his name and is member of the editorial team of the Tijdschrift voor Huurrecht Bedrijfsruimte. He is also author of Huurrecht Wetteksten and Sdu Commentaar huurrecht and a permanent lecturer at OSR and the UVA (the Eggens Institute).


As of July 1st, Lexence’s executive committee consists of Arthur Kaspers, Peter Reinders and Tomas Steenmetser.
