Lexence appoints Mathijs van Doormalen and Frank ter Huurne as partners

Mathijs van Doormalen and Frank ter Huurne have been made partners at Lexence in the transactions and labor-law teams, respectively. The appointments took effect on January 1, 2012.
Since 2003, Mathijs van Doormalen (1979) has worked as a lawyer in the corporate and commercial law practice division at Lexence. Mathijs has considerable experience in Dutch and foreign mergers, acquisitions and restructuring, private equity, and venture-capital transactions for large and medium-sized companies. In the transactions part of the practice, Mathijs specializes in corporate social responsibility and sustainability. In this connection, Mathijs represents various private-equity and regional-investment funds that are active in that specific area of investment.
Frank ter Huurne (1977) has worked as a labor-law attorney since 2003. In this capacity he litigates and provides advice on all of the important areas of general labor law (especially individual and collective dismissals). Frank specializes in research into and the forensics of fraud, and in its consequences for labor law, and in labor law in sports (sports law). Frank has extensive experience litigating before both the normal courts and arbitration tribunals. His clients are companies, some publicly listed, and directors appointed under the articles of association. In the sports world, Frank advises top sportsmen and -women, football clubs, and sports federations.
