Vlietjonge Staalhandel strengthens its position in the market by taking over Vandeloo's steel activities
27 May 2016

‚ÄčVlietjonge Staalhandel took over the steel trade activities of Joseph van de Loo BV (Vandeloo) on 17 May 2016. This takeover by Vlietjonge, established in 1751 and bought from Tata Steel in 2012 by its own management and investment company Standard Investment, fits with the ambitious growth strategy of the steel trader located in Nieuwegein. Vlietjonge has chosen to have Vandeloo continue operating with its existing name in the interest of preserving continuity for the customers. Vandeloo, established in 1845, will continue producing wire and fencing products, the other cornerstone of the company. Lexence advised Vlietjonge Staalhandel about the purchase.
