Vroom en Dreesman returns to Vlaardingen
16 October 2012

The V&D store chain is expected to open a new department store in the municipality of Vlaardingen in the first quarter of 2014. The new building, with a total of more than 4,600 m2 of business floor space, is spread across three equal floors. A La Place restaurant will also be housed in the new department store. V&D will be located on Veerplein, on the site of the old Rabobank premises, where Zeeman and Allure can now be found.
Project developer Kikx Development had already reached agreement with V&D on the lease of the new department store. Now the municipality of Vlaardingen and the owner have agreed to the acquisition of the land needed and the existing building. The municipality has also granted a permit for the new building. Kikx signed the purchase contract for the new department store with Green Retail House.
CBRE, DTZ Zadelhoff, and Steins Bisschop & Schepel Advocaten advised Kikx on this transaction. Green Retail House was assisted by Lexence.
