Green sells Amersfoort movie theater
22 February 2013

Green Retail House sold the movie theater in the Amersfoort Eemplein multifunctional complex to Pathé Theatres. The movie theater, already being used by Pathé Theatres, consists of eight auditoriums. Pathé was so satisfied with the unique movie theater and the surroundings of Eemplein that it decided to buy the building after a relatively short lease period.

Eemplein is in downtown Amersfoort between Amsterdamseweg and the Eem River. It was completed at the end of 2012 and consists of diverse, large-scale stores, catering outlets, and the Eemhuis cultural center, which includes a library. The underground parking garage has 625 parking places. In the past few years, the area around Eemplein has gained enormously in quality by the development of the Hogeschool Utrecht, homes in the higher segment, catering facilities on the Eem River, and the development of the station area.

Together with Lexence Advocaten & Notarissen and Progam Bouwmanagement, CBRE advised the owner, Green Retail House, on the sale. Pathé Theatres was assisted by NautaDutilh and vb&t groep.
