Dutch auction site gets €75 million in investments

The new investment round was led by the American investment fund Lead Edge Capital. Earlier investors such as Accel Partners, Project A Ventures and the Dutch based NOM also participated. As well as media-entrepeneur Willem Sijthoff and several private investors.

The capital will be used used for further expansion into new countries, marketing and hiring new people. Catawiki now has about 200 employees.


The Dutch auction website Catawiki, which organises online auctions for collectors and art objects, has raised 75 million euro in a new investment round. This investment round follows very quickly on the previous investment round of the last quarter of 2014, wherein Catawiki raised 10 million euro.
