C1000 sells Eindhoven distribution center
19 December 2012

C1000 sold the distribution center used by Schuitema until 2009 to Van Rooijen Logistiek. The center has around 45,000 m2 of space and stands on almost eight hectares of land. There is a railroad connection to RTE (Rail Terminal Eindhoven). C1000 closed the center after CvC Capital acquired the supermarket chain from Ahold in 2008. It was used again briefly this May for a large-scale beer campaign by C1000 (buy three crates, get one free).

The buyer, Van Rooijen Logistiek, also the neighbor, has a large public warehouse with facilities for shipping and container transfer. Because of its fast growth, Van Rooijen Logistiek decided to buy the distribution center. Lexence represented C1000.
