Construction law

The construction law team gives advice and litigates on issues that play a role prior to, during and following the construction process. Before construction, these include the requirement to call for tenders, state aid, candidate selection and awarding tenders. The team's activities include drawing up various kinds of contracts for contractors and architects and suppliers' contracts. Advisory activities during construction concern aspects such as extension of the construction period, variations in the amount of work and building materials, chargeable items, circumstances leading to additional costs, delivery, the obligation to give a warning etc. Issues that arise after delivery include disputes about hidden defects, faults in the design, faults in the construction, variations in the amount of work, exceeding construction period deadlines as well as damage caused by construction activities and disputes about insurance including construction all risk insurance.
