Michiel de Wit’s area of practice is legal property and asset management. He specializes in commercial-tenancy law, litigation, and contract law related to real estate. He advises and litigates, among other things, on topics related to tenancy law such as new leases, lease terminations, renovations, defects, rent reviews, extension of leases, and green leasing. His clients are investors (including institutional investors), project developers, managers, and other real-estate consultants.
 
Michiel is a member of the Society of Tenancy Law Attorneys. He is on the editorial board of the Dutch journal Huurrecht in Praktijk (Tenancy Law in Practice), where he also publishes regularly.
 
Michiel has been with Lexence since 2010. Previously he was with Unibail-Rodamco and Van Mens & Wisselink. He studied Dutch law at the Maastricht University, and took a post-graduate course in tenancy law with the Society of Tenancy Law Attorneys. Michiel was sworn in as a lawyer in 2002.
