Floor Damen specializes in employment and benefits law. He provides assistance to companies and institutions primarily regarding issues such as (collective) dismissal, transfer of business and employee participation. An important part of his work involves advising on collective restructuring projects including negotiations with trade organizations on social plans, consultation with works councils, and the selection of redundant employees (on the basis of the reflection principle). Together with Mark Keuss, he leads the reorganization team at Lexence. 
Floor publishes on a regular basis, and is affiliated with the Rotterdam School of Management as a lecturer on topics such as reorganizations and employee participation. He is also a visiting lecturer for the combined Master’s program in employment law at the VU University Amsterdam and the University of Amsterdam.
Floor has been affiliated with Lexence since 2006, prior to which he worked at AKD Prinsen van Wijmen. He studied Dutch law at Utrecht University, and pursued a postgraduate degree in employment law at the University of Amsterdam. Floor was admitted to the Bar in 2000.
